UCFA provides technical expertise through its agro-foresters, establish agroforestry nurseries, providing all trainings and ensures sustainability of its cooperatives operations while providing them free tree seedlings. Both farmers and cooperatives play active roles in tree planting and agroforestry. The farmers plant and maintain the trees while the cooperative coordinates agroforestry training and provision of trees from UCFA nurseries. These farmers appreciate the benefits of agroforestry which maximize biological interractions of their ecosystems. Therefore, our farming system emphasizes biodiversity conservation and tree planting.
